In collaboration with Artist Mentorship Program, artist Fairywulf (Shelly Swann) created a warm and cozy wall mural above the cute book nook at the center.

“The Artist Mentorship Program supports youth navigating the trauma of homelessness by creating community, relationships, and music and arts mentorships so that esteem is enhanced, confidence is fortified, and pathways out of homelessness are built.” -AMP

Electric Blocks Mural

For this inaugural set of murals, PSAA invited 10 emerging and veteran artists to create new works. The VOLTA garage contains 10 walls that will rotate art periodically. -Portland Street Art Alliance

“Shelly’s mural in Volta represents their love for Portland, and the uncertain feeling of moving to a new home. The character on top of the mountain is a symbol of childlike wonder and tenderness that she has found within this community since arriving”.
